Costcodle is a free daily price guessing game for Costco fans. Each day you see one product from the Costco warehouse, with its photo, name and pack size, and you get 6 guesses to name the price. Land within 5% of the real price and you win. Think Wordle, but for the Costco aisles.
Everyone gets the same product on the same day, so you can compare scores with friends, family or the group chat. A round takes about a minute. The first Costcodle went live on September 21, 2023, and a new one has unlocked every day since.

The product pool holds 3,399 Costco items, and most of them are food you'd actually put in a cart on a weekend run: cheese, chocolate, chicken, coffee, nuts, chips, bottled water and protein snacks. About one in seven is a Kirkland Signature product, Costco's house brand. The rest come from names you already know, like McCormick, Nestlé and Frito-Lay.
Every so often the game throws in something big. A gas grill, an 85-inch TV, a sectional sofa, a backyard playset and a patio dining set are in the mix too, and those run from about $900 to almost $1,800. They don't come up often, but they're the days everyone talks about.
Here is what the full product pool looks like:
So when a product gives you no clue at all, $10 is a strong first guess. Save the big numbers for days when the photo shows a grill, a TV or furniture.
Costco prices don't line up neatly with what you pay at a grocery store, which is exactly what makes Costcodle tricky. A few things catch people out:
When a round ends, press Share. Costcodle builds a short emoji grid with one row per guess: an arrow for the direction you missed, and a red or yellow square for how far off you were. A winning row gets a check mark, and the top line shows your score out of 6, like "Costcodle #1000 3/6". The grid never reveals the product or the price, so friends who haven't played yet won't get spoiled.
On a phone, Share opens your share sheet. On a computer it copies the result and a link to your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere. Your games played, win rate and streaks are saved in your browser, and you can check them any time on the Costcodle stats page.
Costcodle works best when someone else is playing the same puzzle. A few ways people use it:
Because the daily product is the same for everyone, nobody can get an easier puzzle. The only edge is knowing your Costco prices.
One puzzle a day not enough? Costcodle Unlimited lets you play random past Costcodle products back to back, with no daily limit and separate stats.
It's a good way to practice. A few rounds in a row and you start to get a feel for what a 3 lb bag of nuts or a big box of protein bars costs. Unlimited never shows you today's daily product, so it won't spoil the main puzzle.

Yes. Your guesses and stats are stored in your browser, so you can close the tab halfway through a round and pick up where you left off. Clearing site data or switching to another device starts you fresh.
Not by date, but Costcodle Unlimited serves up past products at random, so you'll run into old daily puzzles there.
Product photos and listings come from the Costco Food Database. Prices are US Costco warehouse prices from when each product was added, so they can differ by region and drift over time.
